Los Angeles Kings center Tyler Toffoli unquestionably had his best season as a pro in 2015-16. The 24-year-old has improved immensely in each of his three full seasons as a pro. After having 29 points in 2013-14, last season he almost doubled that with 49 points. He once again set a career high in points this year with 58 (31 goals and 27 assists), which ranked third on the team behind only Anze Kopitar and Jeff Carter.

His 31 goals ranked first on the team. Those goals came on 213 shots (14.6 shooting percentage), which tied him for fifth on the team. One thing that became very apparent this season with Toffoli is that he’s not afraid to shoot, and he’s pretty good at it.

The Toronto, Canada native is quickly developing into one of the young stars in the NHL. For that reason I give him an A- for the season, but I have a feeling that he is going to have a monster 2016-17 season, prompting the Kings to open their wallets if they want to lock up the young start long-term.
